QUESTIONING THE FEMINIST SABOTAGE OF BIRTH OF A NATION

THE FEMINIST SABOTAGE OF BIRTH OF A NATION by Lisa Davis

FIRST OF ALL, NATE PARKER DID NOT RAPE THAT WOMAN!  It was acknowledged in court documents by both sides, that she had consensual sex with Nate AFTER she claimed the assault happened! Although I am always apprehensive about accepting the mainstream media's definitions about what is considered a flop at the box office, I completely agree with the author about the role that those who called themselves "feminists," especially Black feminists, played in completely trying to destroy Nate Parker and his chances of having any success with this film.

They immediately began to perpetuate some of the worsts stereotypes about Black men, such as "A BLACK MAN CAN'T EVER BE NOT GUILTY!" And the first mistake that was made was that they didn't even attempt to get all the facts of the case before speaking out against it! How the hell do you write about a case that has already happened? There is something called Transcripts and before recklessly writing about a court case they should of gotten off gotten off their asses and dug through those transcripts! And the first place they should have started with is the summations of the prosecutor and the defense! That will usually lay out much of the arguments and evidence that came out in court. In the prosecutor's closing arguments he acknowledged that the woman had consensual sex with Nate hours after she claimed the rape happened. So this girl claimed to have some memory of being "raped" by two Black men, but yet the first thing that she does after that is wakes up in the morning and decides to have consensual sex with Nate!

Black feminists simply immediately allowed their politics to be defined by what happens when white women accuse white men of rape. But the complete reverse is true when white women accuse Black men of rape! A Black man doesn't even ever have to have seen her in order to be convicted of raping her! That happened all the time! How the hell is that not part of the rape culture narrative? How does anyone calling themselves themselves a Black feminist ignore that? You don't need any kind of evidence to convict a Black person of anything -- least of all a Black man. Now I'm not saying that a Black man can't be guilty of raping a white woman, but what one should always do before accusing anyone of anything, is to try to get the facts of the case, and that means gathering information from both sides. And when you are judging the merits of any court cases, get the effing court transcripts and comb through them! If you call yourselves a journalist, you have an effing responsibility to do that!

And another conversation about rape culture that needs to be talked about is what happens when a Black woman accuses a white man of raping her? Hundreds of years of repeatedly raping Black women with absolute legal impunity throughout enslavement and Jim Crow. And I don’t think much has changed. Just study Tawana Brawley!
She couldn’t even get an indictment against the white men she accused of raping her. And you know what she’s called in the media? A LIAR, a FRAUD! And now they are docking her check to make her pay those white men back that she accused. But one of the biggest ironies of this is that while Black feminists (and this included some Black men) were going after Nate Parker who was found not guilty by an all white jury, except for one Black person (woman) on it, Donald Trump, who is running for president has a current court case in he is being accused of raping a white woman when she was an underage teenager! And this came out long before the video was strategically released of him saying those disgusting things about women! Outside of a few journalists writing about this, you heard hardly anything at all! And Black female feminists bloggers didn’t say shyt about it!

TRIALS OF THE INTELLECTUAL ORGAN

As much as I try, my whole day had been completely thrown off. Those that know me, have known me as a child, to teenager, young adult, mature adult and now emerging into my years as an Elder know .... the one thing you do not do is attack or compromise my Intellect or my Character. I can allow for other affronts but those two things, I have zero tolerance for. I have walked away from "once in a lifetime" opportunities just because the INTEGRITY of my Character would have been in question and my parents have in "life" and in their "death" have made sure that this be my place in the Universe. Character and Integrity. Anyone that has followed me just on Social Media alone knows that my very purpose on it is to promote Character, Integrity, Responsibility and Accountability. And although others may not agree with me, I allow for myself to let people speak and be who they are.

My character was molded to be "unmovable" and "unshakable". You know where I stand and I stand with honor and dignity. When I talk about it, my passion can overcome my emotional state, which is why I don't do it Publicly or you'll see me become a blubbering idiot. You'll know that from my presence I will do the RIGHT thing, no compromise. This you would know and do know if you know me; be it friend, enemy or associate. That being said .... I was accused of Theft and Plagiarism and obviously from someone that "thought" they knew me. This person actually called me on the phone and accused me that my own crafted words, thoughts, philosophy and writings were stolen and manufactured by someone else. That all my nearly 40 years of personal, academic, professional and living philosophy to an area of expertise and my Career was lifted as if all that I am was sub par, low and needing of their words. That my personal skills as an intellectual and creative writer needed "borrowing". That in my HALF CENTURY PLUS years of existence on this Planet, one which I have circumvented in the pursuit of knowledge, needed hacking from someone else. I was accused of quoting and referencing myself as "stealing" and "copping" of another person .... which was them. CLEARLY ... this person does and did not know me, my background, my character, my integrity or the influence my presence have played in the World and the people that live on it. And yet, hours later, I still can't shake the negative energy that has come from the event.

I called my Mentor ... a person far wiser and experienced with life than I. He listened to my words and my anxiety over this and after about an hour of complete silence and patience and responded, "Do you need this person's approval or acknowledgement to be an intellectual or to continue to grow and expand your talents?" I said, "No." And my Mentor simply said, "Then Fuck 'em. Let's move forward and continue to build and improve our community that needs you more and in your RIGHT MIND. This is and will be what you will be engaged with as you make your mark upon this Planet. What you do ripples out. Some waves come back strong, some weak and some not at all. You are too intelligent not to know this. Why? Because you are a solution".

WHEN BLACK MOTHERS NEED TO LET GO OF THEIR BOYS TO BECOME MEN

Before I get in, can we take a moment to observe the mother, what she represented, the language, the dress, the attitude? OK ... now for my POV:

I love Mom and I know she meant well but her MALE CHILD'S purpose was to protect his future and as such, h
is MOTHER. This is what MEN do. This is what Black folk have done since chained and bound for our Trans-Atlantic kidnapping from Africa. There isn't a time or generation Black Men and Black Boys have not had to step up and represent Civil and Human Disobedience to survive in The Americas. At no time in American History has the country freely extended Human Rights to Black folk. It hasn't freely done so to Hispanics, Native Americans and Indigenous Peoples, Women or to its own White folk for what matters. That being said, I can't honestly say I know all the details and background of this mother's intent but I do know it was personal, counterproductive and selfish to her cause of; "let some other kid get hurt and die and not mine" and all the while those others are taking the hit for her not seeing the Big Picture. The MAN in her child that needed to grow, evolved and experience what needs to be done is/was being crushed. THIS IS WHY SINGLE WOMEN NEED A STRONG MALE ROLE MODEL FOR THEIR SONS. JUST FOR MOMENTS LIKE THIS.

Imagine in India, South Africa, Mexico, Syria, Libya, Russia, Pakistan, China, Korea, Palestine, Vietnam, Columbia, Argentina, Poland, Romania, Latvia, Estonia, Ireland, Egypt, Burma, the Congo, Ivory Coast, Haiti and I can probably list 50 more countries had mothers telling their children ... their male sons, to stay indoors, to STOP throwing rocks at an oppressive force that uses military tools to oppress them, kill them and their families and keep them in fear? To coddled and sheltered their BOYS ... their YOUNG MEN? The attitude of "NOT MINE" doesn't work when you are fighting for justice. This is the "sheeple" way of looking at life. She has in essence tamed and neutered her child into submission maintaining that only Martin Luther King Jr. is the way and light for social justice is the only way for pushing the agenda of human rights forward.

What needed to be done was she should have been by her son's side guiding him in a way (or out of the way) that had equal impact. If she didn't know how, then a person equal to the
challenge should have been by her side or had that person guide him. Be it mentor, pastor, boyfriend or MISSING FATHER. And just like people have issues with public shaming on the Internet, I have issue with the public castration of Black Boys to Men because we are too scared to "Do the Right Thing". You all do remember that movie right? No one left the theater saying how you would have told your child not to react and get involved then. You actually applauded the actions because it was real enough to connect to. If that was true then, when did it become fantasy today? Same actions, same scenario just absent the stereo.

This mother was wrong in her methods because at the end of the day, if her child had his neck broken by the Baltimore police and got off without accountability, she'd want more than a few kids throwing rocks at their oppressors. She'd take all and every attempt to Right what was/is wrong with the System. She coddled him into submission and this his Manhood took a backseat to a mother's misguided notion that what was going on was too ignorant, dangerous and un-Manly for him to experience. A warrior to the cause taken out by an unfriendly fire, a Mother from the inside. So now I have to ask, who was more dangerous, the Baltimore police for murdering a Black Man and getting away with it or a
Millennial Mother not connected to the history to how she was able to achieve her relaxed two toned hair, hoop earrings, gold necklaces and watch, makeup, nails, high heel shoes, club dressed with a Love and HipHop attitude? Her agenda was to keep her Boy a Baby and let others do the heavy lifting while her stay at home and wait for the benefits to continue to rain down as those in the 1950's, 60's 70's and still into the 2000's are doing. Her excuse was that she didn't want her child to be another Freddy Gray ..... truth be told, he already is. I get it, she is a MOTHER but like all
things that matter and affect boys, you have to allow them to be Men, make mistakes and let them go.I used the word coddling for this Mother's actions defined as a disease. Yes, respecting one's mother means coddling, in my opinion, if a mother actions keep a Boy from becoming MALE or keeps the Boy so closed off to the World that he becomes stymied by its reality and easy prey for manipulation and easy marginalized as an adult male. This situation required a MALE point of view which would have allowed this boy to make a balanced and focused decision (i.e. a Male and Female perspective). Granted there are Men who feel the same way the Mother did or does and may have told this boy not to get "involved" but the only difference is that the Male would have represented "differently". This wasn't about safety for her child, it was about NOT letting her child make an adult decision to do what he felt was the RIGHT THING."I went because in the past, a lot of my friends have been beaten, killed, abandoned, hurt by the police—so I went down there just to fight for what I stand for ..." - Michael Singleton, the Young Man who was beaten by his mother participating in Civil Disobedience in Baltimore Md.

"We should applaud our young Black (boys) for having bravery their parents' have not." - Craig Schley

BURNT RICE

To say that all parties involved DIDN'T see the whole video is BS. The courts, the police, the NFL and everyone involved in the decision process of Ray Rice ... they all saw the video. We the people were the only ones not involved in the process. As a matter of fact, the "re-releasing" of this video has in essence made the incident appear as if this is both NEW or giving the impression that Ray Rice is STILL abusing his wife. Manipulation of information and the incident paints Rice as an "animal out of control and a danger to all Women". Women whom he does not know, will not know and will never meet. It is a marketing that easily works for certain "types" of people. That same campaign can be applied to anyone (Males) who would speak in any way in support of Rice as a person, as a person who needs help and one who has the potential to be forgiven and becoming a better person. Watching the video (again and from a different angle), I wasn't shocked because I (we) knew what happened. We still do. Nothing new was added to the evidence. THINK ABOUT IT PEOPLE ... this incident isn't NEW. It was discussed, debated, viraled, the topic of talk shows, made newspaper and magazine articles, PEOPLE GOT SUSPENDED from their jobs. careers were boosted and millions of social media posts were created etc ... and yet people are reacting like this is new News. If anything, the re-creation and creating Law to be applied 'retroactively' is the real monster.

My last point is this, how is it we can see Ray Rice hit is wife in "GRAPHIC DETAIL" and have it looped all day for several days and the News can't show police shooting innocent people or even criminals in violent acts, the the end results of bombings in the Middle East and Gaza, or the beheading of Journalist? The excuse that it is "too violent" for TV or for the News become hypocritical when we can see Ray Rice. THINK ABOUT IT PEOPLE this is more than just a domestic issue its politics and YES I will say "Race".

TO GIVE UP FREEDOM

I can't tell you how many people have tried to "brainwash" me in debate, conversation, posting and lecture into freely giving up my FREEDOM to be handcuffed by a police officer when innocent. KEYWORD: Freedom. New York Mayor De Blasio had the audacity to suggested that AMERICANS (Black and Latinos) should always adhere to an officers demands to be handcuffed (guilty until they determined you are innocent) to prevent an "altercation". An altercation for what?

In essence, the Mayor of New York, whom Black and Latinos voted for to deal with the over-policing and harassing measures of the NYPD and its legal system, he is asking for those same voters whom are at the center of legal violations to "silently and orderly give up their FREEDOM before he; THE MAYOR, has even "ATTEMPTED" to deal with these issues?  That the creation of and "altercation"; a noisy argument or disagreement, especially in public ..... is un-American and unacceptable when told and or demanded to give up their FREEDOM freely and without question? Peacefully? EXCUSE ME BUT THE LAW AND PROTOCOL is to state what the crime is (if there is one) first and when asked by the accused and not exercise some skewed act of Jurisprudence until they can figure out a charge they can use to justify their action(s).

I can't tell you how many times this has happened to me. EVEN IN PLACES WHERE I WORK. I have never allowed an officer to handcuff me, My FREEDOM is given to me by GOD and it is in knowing that, a gift that I do not and will not give to anyone. This frustrates the police when a person stands their ground because intimidation is key to their protocol for arresting and or subduing people.

I am not asleep and my mind is sharp ... you can not tell me that giving up your FREEDOM to authority without question is normal. If anything it is the actions of animals led to slaughter. HELL .... even pigs fight before they are made into bacon for your BLT sandwiches.

I CAN'T WASH MY @$$ WITH THAT MAN NEXT TO ME

"On Tuesday, while providing an update about Sam’s quest to make the St. Louis Rams’ final roster, reporter Josina Anderson said that a Rams “defensive player told me that ‘Sam is respecting our space’ and that, from his perspective, he seems to think that Michael Sam is waiting to take a shower, as not to make his teammates feel uncomfortable.”" - Statement from ESPN

This is the same question that was posed when Black players entered into the professional sports area. The very same question that was presented when Women sports reporters were allowed into the locker room. Its now full circle in the Same-Sex Debate (which is kinda funny when typing this) for Male Insecurity in Sports 3.0.

There is culture in the locker room, especially when Sports and Team Bonding is concerned. The uptick in (which to this day we haven't seen signs of this in either Sports or the Military) where groping, raping, orgies, sexual assaults, unwarranted stares and glares, animal and or blowup doll simulations or even open discussions about asking for dates in showers have ever occurred prior to or now that "orientation" has become a distraction for playing Professional Sports. I think its hilarious how weak minded and socially challenge players are looking at Michael Sam as if the NFL recruited RuPaul into the NFL. The man earned the Right to play ball. If he can't cut it ... than "cut" him (no pun interned). What would really be a shower report is if Michael Sam reported how many "closet" players are looking at him. Now ..... that's something to think about.

By the way ... ESPN doesn't regret anything. They are trying to get everyone hyped to watch more sports, their broadcasts and follow Michael Sam because he is the new thing to talk about and capitalize on after last years decrease football ratings.

AN OPEN LETTER TO JOHN AND GOOD COPS

John, the reality is this. "GOOD COPS" are feeling the pressure for the actions of Bad Cops, Bad policing, discriminative legal decisions and their lack of internal support to rid themselves of the infection of injustice. More so, these acts and actions are disproportionately focused on People of Color (i.e. Black People). This is not an exaggeration, the facts don't lie. The evidence (including the missing and distorted) is real and obvious. It don't matter how many "fluff" pieces that go viral, BBQ's and Block parties in the community, P.A.L. events, dog rescue stories or sympathy broadcasts made, if the infection of Bad Cops and sweeping reforms holding those cops accountable for their actions aren't made, Good Cops will be guilty by association. Guilty by cause and by default. Why? Because internally, fraternal organizations know who the "Bad Apples" are. Those on the outside do not have this luxury. For some, to be approached by a police officer is a "hope and prayer" that THIS ONE is a good one.

For an individual Cop to stand up and yell, "Not Me!", the action would be moot because EVERY Cop should be standing. And they aren't. Everyone supports good policing. What society should be demanding is that everyone should be condemning bad policing .... and based upon the statistics, the actions, the evidence and silence .... they aren't. Which could only mean one of two things, 1. People don't care or 2. they accept things as they are. This same philosophy can be said of GOOD COPS who stay silent and work side-by-side with Bad cops. The internal silence and on the side pleas of community acceptance come off weak and sorry to say .... "spineless.' to those most effected by bad policing and Bad Cops.

From Yusef Hawkins to Eric Garner 25 Years Time Locked

"Well protesting is sort of like, "Please, please, please, don't do that." But they'll do it anyway. But they just ignore you. So, protest is submissive." - Paul Watson, Environmentalist Activist

I think what Paul Watson stated has more merit today, now, than than ever before. The  problem is, people, especial Black folk, aren't ready to transition from "activism" to "interventionism". The difference between "activism" and "interventionism" is  one "talks" and the the other "does". Not by just showing up and raising voices and holding hand up in the air in a surrendering manner but transitioning from being just active to aggression; "the act of "hostile or violent behavior or attitudes toward another; readiness to attack or confront". Now this might sound anti-American or even what people like to label as a "race riot" but lets be honest, with all the "extra" police, helicopters, patrol boats, secret service and traditional enforcement of the Law that surrounded the "peace march", that is what the Government is most fearful of. The Powers-That-Be know that Black folk have gone from walking hand-in-hand or with tools to being chained, to laying on their backs, to crawling, to standing up, to fighting, to dancing, to walking with hands raised to laying in graves in raising numbers. They know by definition that it is coming to this. The Fight for the Right to exist. The recent law passed called Program 1033 or the official name, AMERICAN BATTLEFIELD PROTECTION PROGRAM ACT OF 2013 (https://beta.congress.gov/.../house-bill/1033/summary/98705 ) as well as the Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act (S. 1959) was designed to be a Pro-Action policy to prevent Interventionism in American People. You can't act against something if the road to action has been cut from the start. These laws cut off all paths via military action and resources. They also have rules for suspending the Constitution. The very fiber of justice in America.

Its been 25 yrs since since the murder of Yusef Hawkins in Staten Island. The same place Eric Garner was placed in an illegal chokehold and also murdered. Al Sharpton's rally in the same place 25yrs to the day of the murder of Yusef Hawkins and he is back where he started with Eric Garner and the best you can offer in a fiery speech to those attending is that this time the people didn't get watermelon and chicken thrown at them? That is an activist "mentality" ... a philosophy of "Gradualism". If Black folk continue at this pace, 25ys from now the people of Staten Island will be serving wine and cheese, water with lemon and an ice cube for those who don't drink.

For those people in Staten Island who stayed indoors they did so in fear. Fear that the clock is ticking for an age of Interventionism. That fear just might be justified. If the actions of injustice isn't addressed in the Illusion that America is in a Post-Racial era, the 60's will come back and it will far worst than the Middle East.

WHITE FOLKS LOVE THEIR WEED

There is this new urban MYTH that legalizing marijuana is a good thing for Black Males in regards to their incarceration under the War on Drugs in the US. WAKE-UP PEOPLE ... all this does is move the product into Corporate hands with Government collecting taxes. Marijuana belongs to the STATE. Anyone not in those circles possessing, growing, exchanging, investing, gene splicing, marketing, advertising, scheming and hustling weed will still be incarcerated just like the selling of cigarettes and alcohol.
The Government just needed time to create an official business plan that can be applied State-by-State and enough people dependent upon the product to push it through. Marijuana can be grown in the home as simply as a common Chia Pet product. Like bottled-water .... its all just a Game. Arresting people for weed had become a plan that had exhausted its merit points. The argument that it is for medical reason was not only the keep reason for making marijuana legal but "is" the ultimate smoke screen and not the real reason. When pushed to answer the question, "Are there alternatives to marijuana?" the answer was always, "YES, but ...". Using recreational smokers to push the agenda, the medical industry used it to gain legal access to cornering the market for profit and will flip-the-script to either exclude recreational smokers or become the sole dealers of the product. Already recreational smokers are going to the marijuana centers and being turned away because they don't have a "prescription".

I Remember the Day I Died

I remembered when I had died.
That’s right I had died.
Not in the figurative sense.
Literally.
Dead.
No heart beat.
No pulse.
Stopped breathing.
Cold.
In the cradle of Dead.

Let me describe the experience.

It was like a weakening.
From all over.
My breaths had grown shallow.
My eyes began excepting a quickly approaching sleep.
My legs and hands grew heavy.
Then a shadow like cold,
slow but transitioning crept over me.
Then my words began to slur.
And in my fight to stay alive my eyes tried to capture the last images of a living world.
Sparks of blurred light danced around my body.
Later I was told that this experience was my body going into shock.
But it was more than shock.
Now I can call it beautiful
But then, it was consumingly bright.
And as the people who were present on the street gathered around me
I heard everything.
I saw everything.
And that’s when I knew I was dying.
You just know.
Like when the elderly say they’re going to sleep and it’s like different the last time.
Or when you walk out of your house and you know that it’s going to be one of those days.
It was almost like that but much more.
You see, my heart gently started to fade into the background noise of the world.
And finally I was cold.
Ice cold.
The blood that poured from my body no longer mattered.
Part of me thought that it felt good.
The sensation.
It was like singing the gospel before a pulpit of angles
When that shiver hits giving you those chills that run down the back of your spine.
And at the one exacting moment
My body felt warm.
In that moment, it wasn’t the sensation of my life flowing from my body that I sensed,
It wasn’t my pure essence flowing from me.
It was something else.
And all the while that I was dying in the streets of Harlem
I was living again in heaven.
And while part of me was calling for GOD to keep me safe,
Me bellowing to God to take care of my spirit,
To stop the physical pain,
There was a calming.
Like a second consciousness telling me to, “Shhhhhhhhh.”
And that’s when I closed my eyes one last time.
I closed my eyes.
And I was warm.
Warm like I was when I was in my mother’s womb.
Because at that point, I remembered what it was like.
Nurturing.
Healing.
Complete.
I heard everything.
The people on the street,
the crying of women,
radio and cell phones,
the police asking questions about what happened,
the ambulance coming,
the doctors testing my blood type,
hurried feet squeaking floors,
the metal and wheels banging,
the machines beeping,
the nurses clapping when they heard a heart beat.
But there was one thing that I remember more so than any other sound.

One voice.
My voice.
I asked,
“Can I go back?”

In my “No light at the end of the tunnel” state I asked GOD,
Can I go back?
And then I woke up.
Alive.

In my stay at the hospital I was numb.
Not from the drugs given to me to hide the physical pain
But from the fact that I was sent back to this simply by asking.
Why I asked to stay?
I still don’t know.
Why I was allowed to come back?
I don’t know.
But since my arrival I have noticed
every religious and spiritual person has been telling me what God has told them.
What they have heard from God.
Everything  according to God.
What I am suppose to do. According to GOD.
To Be.
To say.
To see.
What God had ordained for me and all of mankind.
But the words don’t sound like what I heard.
They don’t feel like what I felt.
The voice is different.

What I hear is like asking for directions and giving a recipe for Stir Fried Rice.
You know its wrong from the first word.

Preachers, and Popes, Ministers, and Muslims
They all sound empty.
They sound wrong.
Try as they might, they fall short of the voice I heard in my death.
It’s somewhat sad and comical
Cause none of these Motherfuckers have a clue.
No clue.
Not one fucking clue.

I walk along streets and see rows of dapperly dressed men and women
Noble men in black and white collars
Men draped in silk and embroidered gold
Staffs of reflective substance
Statues and Stained Glass images haunting and still
Halls filled with shouts , and hymns, the Negro spiritual ringing to the roof of  heaven
and I sense in it all great emptiness.
Oh my God, why is it so empty to me?
Why is it so hollow?
Absorbing?
Enveloping?
And people; week after week continue to feel good.
They feel rejuvenated.
But when I walk into those halls of holy healing
I feel sick.
I feel the opposite.

At home God talks to me.
No musical scales and screams
No preacher prattle
No reminders of Satan and his fall from grace.
No plates filled with the evils called money to be counted behind closed
doors by accountants.
Accountants dressed in Armani and Alligator shoes.
No overlapping calls of Amen.
No great book of by James or psalms upon psalms.

It’s the sun that rises in the morning to greet my opening eyes.
My breath that allows me to say, “Thank You” for another day.
The water that washes away a past life of guilt and sins
and refreshes me for a day of saintly thoughts, deeds and sanity.
It’s the wind that touches my face
And the earth underneath my feet that tells me what is right.
I may not have traveled a heaven
I may not have traveled 10 feet above the streets of Harlem.
But I see the stars more clearly now.
Angles held both my hands and my head on that night
And God had awaken me gently into a World that is still sleeping.
And  I know I am blessed.
Everyday.

Why am I here?
I still don’t know
But I am here everyday of my new life.
