I NEED YOUR HELP AGAINST RACISM AND BIAS BY GOOGLE !!

If you are a person of Good Conscious and Justice I need your help and it would only take less than 10 minutes of your life. I need you to recognize the overt bias Google displays on the Internet. I need you to TYPE in Googles Images Search Engine "Sexy Black Moms" and then do the same search for "Sexy White Moms". I have to warn you in advance, the images are graphic and disturbing. This isn't a joke nor am I making an argument limiting Free Speech ... my issue is about "blatant bias and misrepresentation" by Google and using its "analytical programming" as an excuse. Several years ago I did this for Black Child vs White Child and African Child vs other Children of different Nationalities the results were similar. In that campaign I and millions contact Google on their Bias and Racism practices and they changed their search engine to reflect a BETTER REPRESENTATION of searches for Black Children. One would have hoped that these change would be unilateral but it wasn't. Regardless if the omission was by Google's corporate ignorance and ethical conscious or blatant neglect, this isn't new for Google and it seems to be ongoing. Now back 4 years later and we are asking people of good conscious to do this all over again.

So here is the 10 minutes of your time needed for this Campaign. Start with calling Google with a well thought out complaint at 866-246-6453 or 650-253-0000. You can also call 877-355-5787 and if you know peoples outside the US call 1 646-257-4500. Google has a formal Legal Removal Request form that should be filed by as many people as possible. A record MUST be made and on the backend, we will have others that will handle any legal pressures so that they understand that Bias, Prejudice and Racism is not going to be Normal in our lives.

Go to the following link https://support.google.com/legal/troubleshooter/1114905... and then select: App Engine & Compute Engine. You can write in your complaint as well. Call and Write. For every 1 complaint it is equivalent to 10,000 people. A call and email from one person increases the accountability the Google MUST respect.

1. Go to the Google Search Engine homepage Google.com
2. Go to the lower Right of the page and select "SETTINGS"
3. Select "Send Feedback"
4. Type (Copy and Paste if necessary) the following within the dialogue space the following:

"I am writing to you about the unethical, bias and Racist representation of Black Peoples within your Search Engine analytic software. This has been an ongoing issue with Google and you have not unilaterally addressed it to its proper resolution. In speaking with several of your Google Female Employees, when asked for them to do the search themselves, they too were offended by the lack of ethics Google has displayed on this subject. As per this site's request, I have attached the nature of my complain. As a customer/non-customer, there is no answer or response that can justify this blatant bias and racist act. I demand that this be addressed for both Black Woman and Black Men."

5. Attach a Screenshot of your Google search of SEXY BLACK MOMS
6. Follow up with a call to 650-253-0000 and ask to be directed to their Voice Feedback line and leave a detailed message of your anger over this.

AFRICAN SEASONS

Deep in tone.
Deep in voice.
He spoke in tongue
telling a quiet world to wake up.
African in nature,
he stepped up to me
and stared into my eyes.
Locked tight,
he focused.
He looked into my soul
and toyed with the idea of remaking me
into the image
of a Man.
A Man of African Seasons.

From out of the tall grass
urged by the wind,
African chants,
rhythm and drums
pushed our bodies into full expression
orally conveying our tales of greatness.
With the blood of the spirit,
the sweat of the land,
and the richness in being,
our story was told for generations to see.
To dance.
To sing.
To know.

We held each others hands.
Held them high and gathered others
in our warm embrace.
The numbers grew,
from youngling to elder
it swelled in quixotic proportions.
We collected the words and wisdom of the ages.
It condensed
and rubbed together
creating heat.
It burned within me.
It burned within us all.
It was hot where we were,
At the center of the room.
The center of the World.
Much like the center of all creation,
where he made me into a man.
A Man of African Seasons.

WHERE WERE YOU SHAZZA? Pt. 3

During my tenure away from the blogosphere, I worked on a few projects. One of those projects was an offer to be part of a new Black themed magazine dedicated to the healthy pursuits of bettering relationships between the sexes. I know on the surface, it seems like another one of those Essence-Wannabe publications but like I said, this is a “new” project and like all things, sometimes reinvention is a Good Thing. So after a few weeks, I and several other urban Writers were able to get together for this new and bright endeavor.

Meeting at a well-known Black owned bookstore I rushed in out of breath because I did not want to miss anything (plus I was on CP Time as well). The meeting for the most part went well. It was filled with the typical sizing up of the people in the room (me more so than others since I was the only Male writer in the room). The host was excited with the turn out and the idea; the writer’s were a bit more concerned about payment and ownership of their property. Much of the organization and meetings were on the setting up of the magazine’s foundation, sponsorship, advertising dollars and distribution, but by my own assessment, it was a bit shaky. There was much to be done with very little answers to questions asked, we, the writers wanted to know more.

We go through the meeting with our own degree of balanced commitment and reservation when it was finally time to leave. While I packed my things to head back home, one of the attendees asked to chat with me a little longer. Like all things connected with like minded peoples meeting, I assumed as much that this was the “networking” part of the event. The attendee and I began talking about our opinions of the meeting and the potentials it can bring “if” things go well. And as the host hurried all the people out due to the store’s closing, we all stepped outside in the April chill. The attendee and I walked and talked some more and as I decided to part ways, she had asked if I had wanted a ride home.

Now this is where my “BRAIN” kicked in. Sometimes I am criticized for doing this but I am told I THINK TOO MUCH. I mean, what the HELL, I was offered a ride home right? A ride that when finished would be only 5 minutes as opposed to a 30 minute walk or a wait in the cold for a bus that could be 15 minutes just for the wait. It was cold and I did want to be back home ASAP to prepare for the next day and catch some basketball. Then there were the other thoughts; “I don’t know her. What were her intentions? Didn’t yo Momma tell you about taking rides from strangers? Is she sweatin’ me looking for a Man or to be sexed up on the side? Is she trying to work me for some gas money?” All these things were flying through my brain when I finally said to myself, “Self …… STOP IT! Get in the car and be thankful and blessed you have someone nice enough to offer your Car-less Driving Ass a ride”.

So I get into the car and we head in the direction of my place. The all time we are riding, I find out very quickly that WE ARE NOT ON THE SAME HORIZON when it comes to politics, social and spiritual beliefs plus she attacked my boy Al Sharpton, to whom I volunteer for. Not for nothing, but the Sistah has some personal issues that I cannot possibly relate to nor willing to try. She was definitely the Girl from the other side of the tracks and I am at a point where my PEACE OF MIND was more important that anyone elses. Now I didn’t want to put on airs but just in the short time we were in the car, I knew that if there was any change or an aggressive move on her part towards "being friendly", I had my list of excuses from the BOOK OF MAN ready.

We get close to my intersection where one would turn and let a Brotha out but my "Driver" passes it by and goes around the corner — the long way. We go one block past the correct street when I interjected that she had missed the turn only to get a simple reply, “Oh I’m sorry. I wasn’t paying attention.” I let that go thinking to myself, “MAN this trip will add an extra minute to the ride.

We make the long turn and back track toward my place when I apologize for taking her out of her way when she tells me that it wasn't a problem since she lives on the next block over from me. “OH HELL NO!”, I think. Now she’s going to know where I live. Let me get out just before my address so I don't increase the stalker probability. I tell her to let me off at the corner just short of where I lived, which she does.

She parks the car and just as I begin to grab my things, the woman begins a conversation about my knowledge about publishing and contracts. Now being polite I pause just for a moment, then do the cliffnotes version of explaining details, contracts, agents, writing and payment scales in the publishing industry as it relates to Internet publishing vs. Print. I figure I could at least do this as a "thank you" favor and do it in 5 minutes or less then BE OUT. As I finished, she breaks out her paperwork on a Book deal she had and what her novel manuscript was about. I paused again and listened counting down the minutes of my staying power. My patience is something that many of my friends admire and still I know that it isn’t what it use to be because in the back of my mind I can hear my inner voice saying, “You know, I really don’t give a FUQ about your book.”

Several minutes go by and all of a sudden, the topic changes from “My novel this My Novel that”, to “I have issues with my boyfriend”. BINGO! I knew something smelled like FISH and it wasn’t a cheesy tampon either. I quickly began to peruse the Table of Contents from the BOOK OF MAN to find a good OUT when I say, “You know, I wrote an article on that very subject. Give me your e-mail address and I will send it to you. Once you read it, you can reply back and tell me if it works for you.”

She agrees and as I begin to take out my business card I hear the woman say, “Oh shyt, here comes my Boyfriend”.

WHAT?!? Now where the FUQ did that come from?!?

I look up at her as she is looking in her rear-view mirror. I turn around to look to see whom I WILL be dealing with (better yet, if I will be either be seeing a hospital, breaking the 100 meter dash record or knocking Old Boy out like Mike Tyson).

“Don’t look back, he might think we are doing something in here”.

Again I say, “WHAT THE FUQ?!” as my mind goes back to that moment when my BRAIN was asking all those questions. I always keep preaching to myself, GO WITH YOUR FIRST VOICE. Every time I don’t, I always rue the day I did. My Mother was always good with me when talking about women. She was SERIOUS about telling me about Women. My Father was about the respect and loyalty to Women and how girls are fragile and it is a Man’s place to do Right by them; except for the Hoochies. Mom on the other hand was STRAIGHT UP GULLY. She had no issue with spilling the truth about the OPPOSITE SEX. She would tell me about the "GAME" and how a real WOMAN knows how to play her weaknesses into strength and if I am not careful, I can get hurt. Mom detailed the differences between the Good Girl and the Bad Girl and the thin line between the two. In moments of my childhood I would get caught up in fights, punishments and ass beatings mostly because a cute girls playing the boys against each other, or the promise of attention "if's". I recall a deep conversation in my teens when my Mother would discuss how some Men would loose their mind and either kill themselves or others over a Woman. As a teenager the very concept of doing something like that made no sense. Years later, this was one of those moments where I had briefly forgotten those lessons and needed them back REALLY QUICK.

Old Boy rolls up on the passenger’s side where I was sitting and knocks on the window. I look up. This Mofo was this YOUNG ASS KID, can’t be no more than mid-20’s, definitely a child of the streets, thugged down, saggin’ pants, a dirty boy for sure. Now mind you, the woman driving is clearly in her late 40’s if not a day before 50. Now I don’t have an issue with an older woman dating a younger man so her business is just that BUT in this case I now know that this (and I am being polite when I refer to the person) Woman purposely drove me past her “BOY” friend to create a situation and I WAS THAT SITUATION.

“Sup. Who you?”, he says staring me in my eyes like I pissed in is Corn Flakes.

“He’s one of the Writers I’m working with!”, she yells across me to him as she rolls up the window on him.

Pissed off by her actions and with me in the Passenger’s seat, he stands up straight and walks away.

Sizing up the situation my brain begins to process the whole situation and it dawns on me, I have seen the kid in passing and not paid him any mind (like I do most of the people acting “ignant” in my neighborhood). Then I look at HELEN OF TROY and see she just tried to start a WAR and I say to myself, "I need to end this now".

“So that was your MAN?”, I respond in an inquisitive tone.

“Yeah, he gets on my nerves, you know he threaten me with a gun when I told him I was leaving him. Then a knife another time. He’s crazy.”, she says as matter of fact.

My “brain” kicks in and I said in my silent voice, “BITCH, I should knife you right about now.” I mean where was HER disconnect and then I thought about what and who I'm dealing with. I then tell her that she is playing a serious GAME and I need to be going since her situation is beyond anything I can get with. As I begin to get out of the car, the kid rolls back and crosses in front of the car. The woman rolls down her window as he sticks his head into the car, gives her a kiss, then dumps a HUGE KNOT …. I mean A HUGE SOFTBALL KNOT of money in her lap as he places two more in his coat pockets.

“What is this?”, she asks him.

“Stop playing yo, just hold on to this!”, and he walked away while she rolled her window up. Looking defeated and embarrassed at what had just occurred, she looks at me and says, “You see what I have to deal with?”

Now I would have paid TOP DOLLAR if someone had taken my picture at that moment. I mean I had so many emotions flowing through me at the moment that in my mind’s ability to process everything went kaput, I was tongue-tied and brain numb. I mean, who was more out of Phase with Reality? HIM because for all he knew I was FBI going through her to get to him to get to his supplier, HER for trying to play me stupid and or trying to get me CAUGHT UP in something that would put me on the evening News, or ME for not exercising the Primal Rule … DON’T TALK TO STRANGERS?

I got the hell out of the car and made sure not to leave any breadcrumbs as to who I am and how to contact me. It still disturbs me that my positive day ended up being so twisted. With all the personal DRAMA I have been going through over the past few weeks, I really didn't need this. Brotha dealing with a HIATUS from the Blog. I got more coming up later.

SPITZER'S SHAME BLAME AND A WOMAN'S FAME

I don’t have a very close relationship with my Mother. I mean I do have a connection with her. We talk and laugh; I am concern for her health and her peace of mind. Did I tell you we laugh? I can make her laugh in a heartbeat. All I need to do is remind her of my childhood escapades and the tears of joy and embarrassment will fall. She loves those moments. My mother loves our conversations about politics. You don’t want to get into a debate on Politics with her. At times I am held at bay and I have made Politics and Community part of my life. My mother’s history and experiences in the 1960’s makes her a wealth of knowledge and I think because of that, we connect on a cerebral level  and yet I feel that my Mother is more of a friend than anything else. If I had to analyze the reasons, it would most likely be due to my independent spirit. Compared to my younger siblings (me being the oldest), I never was a needy person, even for parents. Since 13 years old, I have worked, traveled, explored the World around me and when I would return home, it was understood that I was just being me having my space and privacy. My siblings seemed to need more of my parent’s attention and for me; I never wanted that type of attention.

Recently I spent some quality time with my Mother. I have noticed that there is a significant change in our relationship. It’s more “personal”. From what I am sensing, it’s more of an acceptance of getting old, the journey into the ending of one’s life and making the proper spiritual acknowledgment of it. Then there is me, the oldest, the one child that was there first, born and independent enough to be Son, Friend and Private.

Recently we walked and talked while doing our traditional exchanging of life stories when my Mother decided to tell me something very private. A family secret that she felt I was old enough to handle and accept. The news was unsettling and yet I wished that I was told the story years earlier but in my Mother’s collective wisdom, she may have been correct. Only GOD knows if she was right but in the event of that moment, my Mother asked, “Do you now understand?” I did and I assured her that I did but only on the surface. Deep down I struggled with this newfound information about my family and then I thought about how it wasn’t so much the information but the denial of that information for so long.

Several days later I see New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer standing before the press apologizing for his indiscretions with a prostitute. Now it wasn’t that he was standing before me looking POLITICALLY DUMB nor was it major news since in the past 2 years SEX SCANDALS were common place so one more politician getting his SEX on was old News. Also, when the breaking News prior was how the American Water system is contaminated with pharmaceutical drugs and hours later we are talking about BLOW JOBS, I am initially suspect about the timing, especially since WATER is Humanity's Lifeline. Then I heard asked from a woman Reporter that dreded question, “Why would Eliot Spitzer’s wife stay with him after what he’s done to her?”

I then gave long pause to her question of Mrs. Spitzer’s commitment to her husband and vows. I also recall that very same question asked of NJ’s Gov. McGreevey, NBA Player Kobe Bryant, President Bill Clinton, Comedian and Educator Bill Cosby and Sen. Larry “Wide Stance” Craig wives. I look back at all the comments and conversations surrounding the women of these men and what stood out the most were the comments from other Women. I found that Women are harder on other Women than Men and overall the uber ruthlessness sex of a society to condemn a relationship of sexual impropriety, a force often moved by the Women of society; especial if that relationship is tied to Money, Power and Influence.

As I flip the channel looking for follow up stories on the chemical poisoning of America’s drinking water, I get stories of how sad it is for the wife and children to go through THIS. The “THIS”, meaning a husband that is having SEX outside of the marriage. A common refrain, CHEATING, within relationships, is an act documented around the World and throughout History. The AFFAIR, just in American society alone, is a multi-billion dollar industry for entertainment's movie, television, talk shows, print media and song. It is the type of drama that jump starts our passions and pulsates the blood into overdrive. I am counting the days before I see advertised on a "girlfriend" couch session with Oprah Winfrey or a Barbra Walters special, both women jockeying on who can pull down the most tears for that exclusive with Silder Spitzer as she pushes her book on how her marriage was a LIE (because America really wants to know how another Woman was victimized by a Man of Power).

The media’s push to get an explosive reaction out of WOMEN, the on record voices of "The Sisterhood of Scorned Womens Club" gathering in Space and Cyber-space, the mounting of the Feminist Movement gathering their forces to trumpet their Independence and Free Will from Men and in my Man's Chair (the beat up old reclining chair) and you have me sitting quietly asking one question, “Isn’t this all a private moment between the Spitzer’s?”

I can speak personally on the subject of a family scorned. I am a survivor of divorce. As much as I hate saying that, it’s the best and only way to state that as a child, my parents separated and went their separate ways, me going with my Mother. Why I dislike saying that I am a survivor is that I never saw myself as a VICTIM.  To say that would mean I was in a state of mind of being helpless; which I wasn’t. I knew then as I know now, I had nothing to do with my parents separation. Sometimes a split can be a good thing, based upon circumstances and yet the seed left in my mind to contemplate is WHAT IF? What if things were different and my parents had stayed together? Would I have been the same person or different? Would my current relations or past relations had been different? As personalities are defined, we are a totality of our past experiences and physical makeup. We can never say we have no Past Experiences; it’s the unhealthy tweaking of those experiences that soft minds, not mature enough to handle those real events of their past, that can play havoc on people unless there is a structured lifestyle to balance it out. Since I had balance, I never felt held back from becoming a "normal", sane and productive individual.

I look at Silder Spitzer and I don’t even care how the media portrayed her as the wounded victim, how “drained” of life and how she looked (which I think is a shallow and weak politically correct way of stating that she is old and beat down looking), shocked and weak or how mentally she has live an illusion of self-determination, how fate has put her in this position, the sadness of being part of the Political Cheaters Club. No, I look at her and say to myself, "How do you address the breakdown in your family?"

It's obvious that the real PROBLEM in Silder Spitzer’s family isn’t the cheating or the prostitutes, but the nature of the MAN, her husband, Eliot Spitzer. It is apparent that his come uppings in Political Power is a HIGH for him, which required a prize for Conquest. The conquest or the quenching of that subjugation of his Power High which for Men is  SEX. Call it an "addiction", call it a "warrior's" ideology, call it just being a MAN, society has shown throughout history, religion, psychology, a ring full of gladiators or the innate nature of mankind, that this is how FIGHTERS are hardwired. Anyone knowing Eliot Spitzer, his background, his many conquests and accomplishments, a man who was on a FAST TRACK to the United States Presidency (with credentials far better than both Hillary Clinton and Barak Obama) is/was a Man of Power. Being the wife of a Man of Power, any woman should know that with Great Power, come Great Ambition and Great Ambition comes Greater Conquests … this including Women (or Boys for those that swing that way). It is no strange term to hear that someone was "Drunk with Power", will rise up too quickly, stubble and fall to soon have their significant other come with aid as the designated drive to bring them home. As the wife, it is her duty to be an enabler of that intoxicated behavior or risk loosing the benefits that come with Power. This is what the average Woman fail to understand and also is equally as hard for them to understand WHY THEY STAY.

My conversation with my Mother that day of sharing family secrets made this point REAL for me. Some people cannot sell their Soul for that type of POWER, to excuse Personal Responsibility and looking forward to teaching lessons of Accountability to her children. Some women can. Silder Spitzer in hindsight knew this although she was always uncomfortable with it. SHE KNEW this could happen. The question is what did she do to PREPARE and what will they do NOW?

It is often known that in matters of infidelity; Women are more forgiving than Men. This is due to how each view SEX in relation to the infidelity and the historical role of the woman in society. Women attach more ownership to emotion and Sex than Men so when an issue of cheating occurs, the most frequent question asked from a woman is, “Did you love her?” It is within the answer that a Women will build the determining “IF” the relationship can be salvaged. This is the real News and the area where most Women are interested in. Those MILIONS of women whom have been scorned by CHEATING Men have their scorecards ready. Some are hoping Silder can get through this affair for the family; others want her to get half. No matter how the Spitzer family resolves this highly publicized issue, the person who will get the most criticism will be the WIFE. Society will split their viewpoint of her being straight down the middle. She will forever be a DUMB VICTIM for staying and honoring her marriage vows by doing the following:

1. Accessing the Damage
2. Communicate (deviling deeper into what was said and not said)
3. Determine what’s missing in the Marriage and making changes (therapy)
4. The Children and what is best for them using the first three steps
4. Forgiveness (in order to move forward)
5. Trust

If Silder decides to Leave then she will be CHAMPIONED into the SHE WOMAN’S HATE MENS CLUB and go on to sell books, do lectures, talk shows, commentary for the next Politician’s Wife who is cheated on, a Victims Tour and just maybe she will RE-INVENT herself and become an individual separate from the embarrassment of Politics and yet she will still maintain the stigmata of a Woman who married for Power and lost it. Damned if you do Damned if you don’t. And to think that this is all about SEX. I know others will argue it’s about integrity, political harmony, the IRS, hypocrisy or maybe a little revenge but take away all the frosting on the issue and it is still about SEX. Politicians aren’t supposed to have SEX … not even with their WIVES. If this is the case Silder Spitzer’s reputation was doomed from the moment she married. Some families can handle this in private, as part of a family secret, some are cursed to live it in the public eye, I can honestly say for me, some family secrets, in a perfect World, can wait until you are ready.

By the way, I am still looking for the NEWS on the contamination of AMERICA’S DRINKING WATER. I haven’t forgotten.

Male Sexuality Issues in Heterosexual Relationships (Repost)

In sexual pleasure, do relationships matter? Of course! Relationships are not the key to sexual happiness, but for most men, they are certainly a key to sexual happiness. In re-reading this paper, I began to think that many of the discussions contained herein, while accurate, were treating some of the sexuality issues in a relationship void. I do not consider myself to be an expert on relationships. However, I hope that some observations I am making here about relationships might prove useful to others.

For both men and women, much of what we learn about the members of he opposite sex is acquired in the early years of post-pubescence, that is, the early teenage years. Much of this information, if not wrong, certainly contains elements of inaccuracy. Teenagers spend a good deal of time not only developing the requisite social skills but also discovering their own and their friends' sexuality. The values and beliefs developed in the teenage years about the opposite sex are often carried into adulthood with little modification.

Teenage girls quickly become convinced that teenage boys are constantly thinking about sex. This observation is probably not far from accurate. At the same time, they become convinced that the number one objective of the vast majority of teen-age males is "scoring".

Many teenage males quickly come to the conclusion that the young women expect them to behave this way, and they are often more than happy to comply with these expectations. Somehow, it's unmasculine to not try to encourage a date to have sex. Young women quickly begin to believe that young men, as a group are crude boars, and insensitive to the more subtle parts of a relationship. Early on, young women become convinced that the only part of a relationship that matters to men is the sex part. The notion of sensitivity and caring somehow get lost in the process.

So both men and women enter adulthood with some real misconceptions about sexuality and the role of sex in a relationship. Young men often fear that anything that borders on sensitivity will be interpreted as being somehow "unmasculine" and thus represent inappropriate behavior for a "real" man. Women believe that the only part of intimacy that matters to men is the sexual intercourse part.

Some couples never really get beyond these misconceptions. They muddle through life never really getting what either partner wants out of a relationship. Men don't really like being viewed by their partners as insensitive clods, but many do not know where or how to begin to change. Parents often provide role models in this regard, and young men who grew up in a family where the father was sensitive and caring to the needs and wishes of the mother--sexual and non-sexual--are at a great advantage in developing the requisite skills. Young women who have had the advantage of observing their parents loving and sensitive relationship are also at a significant advantage over those who grew up in families where the relationship is weaker or less stable.
Why is all of this important? Simply put, sex is a good deal more enjoyable in a loving and caring relationship, and this is true for both men and women. John Gray became a best-selling author with his book Men are from Mars: Women are from Venus. The popularity of this and subsequent books stems primarily from some basic truths Gray was able to articulate so well.

In his book, Gray argues, not surprisingly, that men and women are very different with respect to their sexual and non-sexual needs and desires, and thus bring very different ideas about relationships to the table. Clearly, most men probably see intercourse as being far more important to their overall happiness than most women do. But these differences extend to non-sexual matters as well. Men see themselves as "problem solvers" in a relationship, not as sympathizers. If a women faces a problem involving a co-worker, for example, the male partner (husband), often believes that in order to make the woman feel better, the problem must be solved. In reality, what the woman is often looking for is not a solution to her problem, but rather expressions of caring sympathy. Phrases such as "You were mistreated and I can see why you are angry with the co-worker." may be far more successful than a sincere attempt to try to help her deal with the co-worker. Worst of all is to belittle the problem by saying "I don't think that's serious enough for you to be concerned or upset about it." In a relationship, that kind of help is asking for trouble.

Women often believe the myth that the only thing men enjoy about sex is intercourse. Foreplay is just something men put up with to please the woman. I hope that my foregoing discussions have helped explode that myth.

But men believe some myths too. The first myth is that women don't enjoy sex nearly as much as men do, but sometimes "put up with it" to please their partners. It is true that the vast majority of women se the sexual act as part of a "package" deal. Sex is but one of many components of a worthwhile relationship. Most women would probably rate caring and sensitivity in a loving relationship as being far more important than the sex act itself. But its not true that most women feel only so-so about sex. There are many women who see sex as a very important part of the overall package.

So the package deal of a relationship for women involves a lot of things: a loving and caring relationship, perhaps a family, home, a big dining room table--that is, all the signals that suggest a stable, caring and protected environment. With the possible exception of the big dining room table, men want these things in a relationship too. The rankings may be different, but, in general, the same items are "on the list" for men too.

So, what's a man to do? Showing some sensitivity towards the female partner would be a good start. This is why florists have become wealthy selling long-stem roses. This sensitivity is important both in and out of a sexual setting. Strong relationships begin with both partners sending strong signals that they care for each other. Relationships are not built of the sizes of breasts and penises. Most men are far less concerned about breast size than women believe. Analogously, most women are not nearly as concerned about the size of an erect penis as men believe. These are leftover myths from adolescence.

In short, relationships are built on three words: sensitivity, caring and communication. That's how love develops. It's really all quite simple-- but at the same time, marvelously complex. Sex without these three factors is dull and meaningless. So, how does a man show to a woman that he is sensitive and caring. Communications is critical. John Gray is on the right track. A caring relationship is defined by both compassion and concern. Women don't marry men in order to have someone to solve their problems. They are searching for someone who can sympathize with their situation, whatever it is. In addition, expressions that indicate the man is thinking continually about the woman always earn high marks. Women are actually "turned on" by these expressions that indicate a caring love. And the sex will be better because of this.

Many men are quite dysfunctional when it comes to revealing a sensitive side. In a sexual relationship, men are often unwilling to talk about what "feels good" to them, or that by asking the woman about what feels good to her, that somehow the myth of the "magnificent lover" will be exploded. Adolescent boys often like to act as if they learned all their was to know about how to make a woman happy at age 15, and frequently bring these views into the adult relationship.

I believe that men who are considered by women to be "great lovers" did not achieve this because of their skills at physical techniques. Great lovers become great because they are willing to communicate with women about exactly how they want to be touched without any embarrassment. In this regard, the man who considers himself to be "less experienced" with "more to learn" may actually be more successful in the lovemaking department than the man who claims to already know everything there is to know about lovemaking. The less experienced man will likely want to communicate with his partner on a continuous basis during the lovemaking session. Interestingly, the ability to communicate needs and feelings during intimate sexual activity often helps build better communication skills in non-sexual areas as well, solidifying the relationship in total. At minimum, this is certainly something to ponder. Sex without a caring, loving relationship is no sex at all!
